Mizzou Undergraduate and postbac
Lab openings status: CLOSED
Research assistants work closely with our research team. Duties vary but typically include assisting with running laboratory sessions, collecting electroencephalogram (EEG) data (i.e., "brain waves"), and performing data entry and quality control. Working in a psychology lab is a great way to learn what research is really like, to gain experience needed for applying to grad school or med school, and to learn unique skills that can be useful in students’ future careers, whatever they might be.
Ideal candidates for the SCANlab:
- Motivated students in psychology, neuroscience, biomedical engineering, computer science, and related fields with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Able to commit at least 5-10 hours per week. Because there is extensive training involved, preference will be given to research assistants who are able to commit to working at least two semesters.
- Students can either work in the lab for course credit (PSYC 2950 or 4950) or simply volunteer.
